I was born and grew up in Edinburgh against a backdrop of Edinburgh Castle and
Arthur's Seat. My nursing career, specialising in intensive care and as a Ship's Nurse, gave me the opportunity to travel widely. My return to Scotland rekindled a longheld interest in Scottish history and culture. There was no better way to develop these pursuits than by becoming a professional tourist guide.

A member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, I gained my "Blue Badge"
following training through the Association and the University of Edinburgh. My main
interests are Scottish history and literature. I also remain a practising registered
nurse and am happy to organise Edinburgh tours for visitors with special needs.
